A personal annual report
Published January 19, 2007 in Lifehacks, Human Interest and EcoDesigner Nicholas Feltron has created a very cool looking 13-page annual report for 2006, offering maps and graphs outlining how he lived, what he did, and what he consumed last year.
Although I’m not particularly interested in the life of Nicholas, the concept is very appealing to me. It’s the perfect way to tell your environment what really matters to you and is a personal reminder of the level of pollution you create, your work-life balance and your possible drinking problem.

The question remains to what extend this adds any value. Who is waiting for an annual report on the way I lived my most recent year? I am not, for sure. I’d rather spend time living my current one to the fullest (in line with the wise quote ‘we are here and it is now…’
Most of these kind of initiatives seem to have a large ‘look how cool I am’ component. If you’re really happy with your own live, you do not need these kind of things to receive confirmation, both externally as internally…
