Why does the shower curtain move toward the water? This has been bothering me for a very, very long time. Finally, someone found the answer.
Apparently, the shower drives a cyclone-like vortex which creates a low-pressure region. This low-pressure region is what pulls the shower curtain in. (via cyn-c, via kottke).

American Rhetoric has a good list of (American) movie speeches -with audio and video footage. Al Pacino’s speech in Scent of a Woman is not on the list, that’s a serious omission. My personal favorite is the ‘Greed is Good’ speech by Michael Douglas in Wall Street.
‘Greed is Good’-speech, Michael Douglas, Wall Street (1987)

‘Crock of Shit’-speech, Al Pacino, Scent of a Woman (1992)
