Great post by Seth Godin about the fear of changing the Status Quo. His case: ‘the Verizon guy who turned down the iPhone‘. He could have used the example of ‘the Decca guy who turned down The Beatles‘ (“We don’t like their sound, and ‘guitar music’ is on the way out”), but the message is clear. As Seth Godin says:
“The spreadsheets and the marketing team and the CFO and the lawyers have no trouble at all defending the status quo, because, it’s their status quo. They created it and they like it that way.”
