This is just brilliant.

Crowded House (Live in 1987) 1

Don’t dream it’s over, a beautiful song which brings back a lot of adolescent memories. This is the old line-up, before drummer Paul Hester decided to kill himself in 2005. This video to celebrate the fact that Danielle was able to get tickets to a concert of Crowded House in Carre Theater in October in Amsterdam!

Very nicely done. So, this was an actual song? Does anyone know who this guy is?

The incredible vagina biting dog 1

You have to see it to believe it. It’s hilarious and quite tragic at the same time. This is one dog (or better: owner) in desperate need of counseling by The Dog Whisperer (or Dr. Ruth).

Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On / What’s Happening Brother (live in 1973) 0

Truly unique live footage of Marvin Gaye performing What’s Going On / What’s Happening Brother in 1973 with the original Funk Brothers lineup. This is an excerpt from the recently released DVD of some of Gaye’s greatest live performances on TV and film, Real Thing: In Performance 1964-1981. This live performance comes from the long out-of-circulation 1973 film, ‘Save The Children’ with James Jamerson Jr. on bass.

This is actually the first time I see any footage of Jamerson, my favorite bass player of all time. And even better: in a live performance. Very exciting. Watch how he just uses his right-hand index finger (which earned its own moniker, ‘The Hook’) to play all these complex and melodic lines (starting at approximately 1.23).

Focus - Hocus Pocus (live in 1973) 0

Kick ass live performance by Dutch progressive rock band Focus from my year of birth. The 1973 lineup is Jan Akkerman on guitar (spanking his Gibson Les Paul), Pierre van der Linden on drums, Thijs van Leer on Hammond, flute and vocals and Bert Ruiter on bass.
